Baltimore, MD

ABOUT THE MUSIC: Rachael Kilgour is a Boston-based writer of honest, lyric-driven songs. She was the 2015 grand prize winner of the international NewSong Music Performance & Songwriting Competition and 2017 winner of the Kerrville New Folk Contest. Rachael has been featured at NYC’s Lincoln Center and the Sundance Film Festival and shared the stage with Greg Brown, Cheryl Wheeler & Catie Curtis. Her third CD, “Rabbit in the Road,” is an intimate and often painful look at her failed marriage and loss of family. Rachael’s writing and delivery cut deep; sorrow, rage, resilience and compassion exist side by side within a series of honest and memorable melodies. The collection of work stands tall on a foundation of vulnerability and opens the door to moments of profound connection. More at: https://www.rachaelkilgour.com/

ABOUT OUR SERIES: We hold monthly concerts in our private residence in Baltimore (Hampden). We do not sell tickets; however, we suggest that attendees make a $20 donation, 100% of which goes to the artists. Open to all, but RSVPs are required at awkwardpausefolk@gmail.com.
